Alan D. Wapner has received the Inland Empire Economic Partnership’s Leadership in Public Service Award.
Wapner, president of the Ontario International Airport Authority and the Southern California Association of Governments, was honored during the partnership’s Turning Red Tape into Red Carpet awards ceremony Nov. 7, according to a statement.
The award recognizes anyone who helps businesses growth and job creation in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
“Alan plays an instrumental role in shaping the future of the Inland Empire,” said partnership President Paul Granillo in the statement.
Wapner has been a member of the Ontario City Council for 24 years and is currently its mayor pro tem.
