Indio forms business support group

Indio has started a support group for the city’s businesses.

Indio Business Connect, which was announced Oct.1 at the State of the City gathering, will be paid for by the city, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Open to all Indio-based businesses free of charge, the program will offer multiple benefits, including networking, business development tools and special events.

“This program is designed to elevate businesses, foster innovation, and strengthen the overall economic vitality of the city,” the statement reads. “By providing resources like business advising, free educational programs, and networking events, Indio Business Connect ensures that every Indio business has access to the tools needed to thrive.”

California State University, San Bernardino’s School of Entrepreneurship, the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship, and the Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center have all partnered with the city to create Indio Business Connect, according to the statement.
