Inland Christian school gets high ranking

Yucaipa Valley Christian School has placed in the top 10 percent of Christian schools nationwide.

The school, which offers pre-school classes for children two and one half to four years old, was ranked in the 92nd percentile by the Colorado-based Association of Christian Schools International, according to a statement released Tuesday.

Students from member schools are tested annually in reading, language, mathematics, science, social studies and knowledge of the Bible.

“We are so proud of our students,” said Joel Vincent, president of the Yucaipa Valley Christian School District’s board of directors, in the statement. “The national percentile ranks test performances from one to 99, so for our school to rank in the top 92 percent nationwide is pretty impressive.”

The district, which formed in 2009, is a non-profit corporation that provides Christian education in the Yucaipa, Calimesa and Banning Pass areas. Its purpose is to help all students discover their unique gifts and talents, and enrollment is open to anyone who wishes to attend.

Applications are now being accepted. For more information call (909) 797-6814.
