The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside has been given a 2015 Neighborhood Builder Award by the Bank of America.
The clubs are being recognized for their efforts in helping Inland Empire youth achieve academic success, reach healthier lifestyles, and maintain good character and citizenship, according to a statement released by the bank.
Officials with the organization recently received a check for $200,000. Since 2005, 18 non-profit organizations in Riverside and San Bernardino counties have received a combined total of $3.6 million from the Neighborhood Builder program.
“We recognize that nonprofits and their leaders are on the front lines as they tackle tough community issues that are vital to the economic growth of the Inland Empire,” said Al Arguello, Bank of America’s Inland Empire market president, in the statement.
“Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside provides vital services that help the teens and youth of our community succeed.”
