Job Center Gets a Makeover

The Moreno Valley Employment Resource Center has been renovated.

The program, a partnership between the city and the Riverside County Workforce Development Center, has two new computers that were purchased with a $53,000 grant from the Western Regional Council of Governments, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Renovation also included new carpet, painting, window tinting, an upgraded security system, fresh plumbing and signs.

“The ERC is a critical component of the City’s award-winning Hire MoVal initiative,” Mayor Yxstian A. Gutierrez said in the statement. “The new computers and renovation will greatly improve our capacity to provide better service to our residents seeking employment and our businesses seeking quality applicants.”

The resource center is located at the TownGate Center, a community shopping center at 12625 Frederick St.

For job seekers, the resource center provides workshops, computer access, resume help and all-around job coaching for anyone looking for employment.

For employers, it provides job recruitment fairs, access to training programs and help with hiring, according to the statement.
