Austin H. Johnson is the University of Redlands American Council on Education fellow for the 2022-23 academic year.
An associate professor in the school of education at UC Riverside, Johnson will work closely with President Krista Newkirk during his time on the Redlands campus, according to a statement on the university’s website.
Established in 1965, the ACE Fellows Program helps prepare faculty and staff for senior positions in college and university administration.
Forty-six fellows will comprise the 2022-23 group at colleges and universities across the nation. All were nominated by senior administration officials at their respective institutions.
“The ACE program is a valuable resource, offering a hands-on approach to prepare future leaders,” Newkirk said in the statement. “I look forward to Dr. Johnson’s active participation as we work to finalize our strategic plan and to enhance the support and opportunities for our students.”
