James Krueger has been named University of Redlands’ professor of the year.
A philosophy professor and director of the health, medicine, and society program in the College of Arts and Sciences, Krueger has taught at the University of Redlands for 19 years, according to a statement on the university’s website.
“It is humbling to be nominated with such exceptional teachers and to be recognized by students for the work that we all do,” Krueger said in the statement. “We all know how challenging the last two years have been. I am grateful for the dedication of Redlands students who continued to show up, to work hard, and to find ways to excel despite those challenges.”
Professor of the Year award recognizes a faculty members’ outstanding teaching abilities and contributions to the University community.
This year’s finalists included Susan Goldstein (psychology), Sawa Kurotani (anthropology), Keith Osajima (race and ethnic studies), and Shellie Zias-Roe (environmental studies), according to the statement.
