Large industrial building slated for Victorville

Construction will begin soon on an 819,964-square-foot industrial building at the Southern California Logistics Centre in Victorville.

The project, which is expected to create about 100 jobs, will be a warehouse-distribution hub for a multinational consumer products company whose name was not released.

Groundbreaking is scheduled to held next month. The building, which will be LEED certified and cover 43 acres, is expected to be ready in May 2022.

“We are thrilled to welcome a recognized brand to our project in Victorville,” says Dougall Agan, chief executive officer of Stirling Development, master developer of the logistics center, in the statement. “The growth of our top tier tenants and their operations within our business and logistics complex underscores the caliber of the location, as well as the business-friendly environment we have created here through our ongoing partnership with Victorville.”

Stirling Capital has developed more than four million square feet of Class A industrial space at the 2,500-acre logistics centre, which is part of Global Access Victorville, an 8,500-acre multimodal freight transportation facility with air, ground and rail connections. It’s being developed at the former George Air Force Base.
