Local food bank to host free luncheon

Feeding America San Bernardino/Riverside will hold is fifth annual Ladles of Love Luncheon Feb. 12 at the charity’s distribution center, 2950-B Jefferson St. Riverside.

The free soup-line style luncheon is held during Valentine’s week to stress the need for the community to “open its heart” and support its regional food bank, according to a statement.

Nathan Westwick of Wild Goose Coffee Roasters in Redlands will be the guest speaker. About 200 people are expected to attend. 

Companies, community members and organizations can reserve seats and tables for this free event by registering online at https://www.feedingamericaie.org/ladlesoflove or by texting LADLES2020 to 41444. 

Feeding America San Bernardino/Riverside is the largest food bank in the Inland Empire. It provides food to nearly 250 nonprofit charity partners in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, according to the statement.
