An Inland neurosurgeon has been honored for his work with stroke victims.
Dr. Javed Siddiqi was named the winner of the Palm Springs Stroke Recovery Center’s annual Ann Angel Award, according to a statement.
Siddiqi, who is head of neurosurgery at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton and Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley, was recognized for bringing advanced stroke care and equipment to the Coachella Valley.
Siddiqi was honored during the recovery center’s annual Winter Wonderland Ball, which was held recently in Rancho Mirage.
The stroke recovery center was founded in 1978. It offers long-term rehabilitation to stroke survivors and people who have sustained traumatic brain injuries, and all of its services are free, according to the statement.
