One of the Inland Empire’s top retail brokerage teams is switching jerseys.
Scott Kaplan and Erik Westedt have been hired by JLL away from CBRE Group Inc., according to a statement released Tuesday.
The duo, which has completed more than $5 billion worth of transactions, will work out of JLL’s Ontario office. Kaplan will be an executive vice president and Westedt a senior vice president, according to the statement.
“Scott and Erik are two premier brokers in the [Southern California] market.” said Peter Belisle, southwest market director for JLL, in the statement. “They will provide tremendous value to our clients who are looking at the West Coast as a hub for expansion and investment.”
Kaplan has been a retail broker for more than 20 years, while Westedt has worked in that field for nearly 15 years, according to the statement.
Kaplan was a senior vice president with CBRE Group and Westedt has long been active with the International Council of Shopping Centers, the New York-based trade organization, according to the statement.
