An Ontario job placement firm is using Facebook to promote some of the better jobs it has available.
First Rate Staffing, which specializes in logistics industry positions started the service – available on Facebook under Inland Empire Jobs – about one month ago, said Sarah Cullins, an account manager with the company.
First Rate will also place jobs that other businesses have available, so long as they don’t conflict with any positions First Rate is trying to fill.
The company is also posting one video a week that links into a major employer’s current marketing. Just as the Facebook page highlights some of the best jobs, the video link highlights some of the region’s best employers.
Most of the jobs listed on Facebook are forklift, packing and some IT positions, Cullins said.
“We’re trying to shine a light on some of the top jobs and companies that we have to offer,” said Cullins, who has final say regarding what gets placed on the Facebook page. “We have quite a few employers out there who have good jobs to offer.”
