Low-cost airline to add San Bernardino flights

Breeze Airways, which brought the first commercial flights to San Bernardino International Airport earlier this year, will bring two more to the airport starting next year.

Twice-weekly flights to and from Hartford, Conn. and Las Vegas are scheduled to begin operating from San Bernardino International Feb. 16, the discount airline announced today.

Those flights are part of a nationwide 15-flight expansion Breeze will undertake during the first quarter of 2023.

“Our Inland Empire communities need more travel options, and Breeze Airways has delivered once again, with new flights to Las Vegas and Hartford, Connecticut,” said Frank J. Navarro, San Bernardino International commission president, in the statement.

Breeze, which began operating in May 2021 offers 99 nonstop routes between 33 cities in 19 states.

Last March, the Salt Lake City-based airline began operating non-stop passenger flights between San Bernardino International and San Francisco International Airport, the first commercial flights to operate out of San Bernardino.
