Major warehouse-distribution facility slated for Perris

A San Francisco-based developer will build an 855,330-square-foot warehouse-distribution facility in Perris.

Perris Gateway, will be at the southeast corner of Ramona Expressway and Nevada Road next to Interstate 215, according to DECA, the project’s developer.

The project’s first phase, approximately 27,000 square feet of retail space, began construction in March.

The warehouse, which is being built without a signed tenant, is expected to be completed in August 2025. It will create 1,200 construction jobs and 800 permanent jobs once it’s operating.

DECA will widen Ramona Expressway and install flood control infrastructure that will help protect Nevada Avenue.

Dwayne Hammond, chair of the Perris Planning Commission, called Perris Gateway the best project he has seen during his 20 years on the commission.

Cushman & Wakefield will be in charge of leasing.

DECA secured a $135 million construction loan to pay for development of the facility, on one of the few parcels in Riverside County large enough to accommodate such a large industrial building, according to the statement.
