Ground has been broken on a 330-acre master-planned community in Menifee.
Legado, which broke ground this month, will feature 1,000 homes and multiple recreational spaces, including walking paths with exercise stations, play spaces, a pool and recreation center and a 13-acre park, according to a statement.
“Legado will be a top-tier community that helps meet the growing demand for up-scale new homes in Menifee,” said Menifee Mayor Pro tem Dean Deines in the statement. “The parks and community amenities that this project brings to our city will further strengthen the quality of life of our residents.”
A pair of Newport Beach companies, Newport Pacific Land and IHP Capital Partner, are developing the project, which will be built in the northeast part of the city: south of Rouse Road, east of Encanto Drive, north of Chambers Avenue, and west of Antelope Road.
Home sales will begin in the spring of 2024, with construction expected to be finished by the summer of 2026
I thought we were in a drought? Where the heck is the water coming from for all these new homes?
What Cindy said!…
Here is another example of an enormous amount of new homes being built without any regard to how much water will be used by those homes. It is obvious that this drought is not a concern to the state, or the builders. Is it possible that we have more water than has been reported?
How wonderful , more houses no relief for traffic anywhere,
How will people get down Newport Ave. It takes 2-3 lights and 20 minutes to get to the 15 freeway. Traffic is blocked turning into the Jain shopping centers. No stores , restaurants or infrastructure. Why have you not demanded these builders to solve these issues. Playgrounds are great but you just can’t keep building houses without solving these issues. Fix the potholes also!
