Mediterranean restaurant chain opening in RC

Luna Grill, the popular Mediterranean cuisine restaurant chain, is upping its profile in the Inland Empire.

The company is scheduled to open a restaurant Tuesday at 10877 Foothill Blvd. in Rancho Cucamonga, its fourth in the Inland region and 43rd overall, according to a statement.

Its hours will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

The 2,500-square-foot facility will host a series of grand openings during its first day in business, including a kabob toast, an all-day raffle for a $100 gift card, interactive games with prizes, food tastings, face painting and balloon art.

Also, the first 43 guests Tuesday will receive a complimentary signature plate.

The San Diego-based chain was founded in 2004 by Sean and Maria Pourteymour. It serves traditional Mediterranean food, including kabob plates, gourmet salads, hummus and falafel as well as craft beer and wine.

Luna Grill operates in Southern California and the Dallas-Ft. Worth metropolitan area. The chain recently received the Gold Medallion Award for Best Casual Dining Chain from the California Restaurant Association’s San Diego chapter, according to the statement.
