Mission Inn looking for tour guides

The Mission Inn Foundation is recruiting docents to lead tours of the historic hotel during the 2019-2020 season.

Besides the tours, the docents will participate in extracurricular activities, including educational forums four times a year, visits to Southern California historic sites and reduced rate stays at the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa during the annual Docent Sleepover, according to a statement.

Applications may be downloaded at  www.MissionInnMuseum.org/docentapp, picked up at the Mission Inn Museum, or requested by mail from Mission Inn Foundation, 3696 Main Street, Riverside, CA  92501. 

Submitting an application now is recommended because class sizes are limited. Deadline to apply is July 31.

Founded in 1976, the Mission Inn Foundation interprets the history of the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa. It conducts daily tours, holds monthly public programs and oversees the hotel’s art, artifact, and archival collections that are shown at the Mission Inn Museum, according to the statement.
