Mitchell promoted by Menifee

Mariana Mitchell has been appointed Menifee’s community services director.

Mitchell, who has more than 20 years’ experience in recreation and community services, was most recently Menifee’s community services manager, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Before that, Mitchell was senior management analyst for the Community Services Department.

“Mariana has a proven track record and continues to deliver high-quality programs and events that have been popular with our residents,” said City Manager Armando G. Villa said in the statement. “Her knowledge of the city’s operations, and strategic vision, makes her the perfect fit to lead our community services team.”

Mitchell began her new position March 20.
