Montclair Place will add a food, game, and entertainment center to its tenant mix.
CIM Group, the mall’s owner and operator, has signed a lease with Main Event Entertainment to occupy nearly 52,000 square feet on the ground floor below AMC DINE-IN Montclair Place 12, according to a statement released Monday.
Terms of the agreement, which was called “long term,” were not disclosed. The facility, which will be Main Event’s first in Southern California, is expected to open in 2025.
“The addition of Main Event, a premier family game and event center, expands the entertainment options at Montclair Place,” said Shaul Kuba, co-founder and principal of CIM Group, in the statement. “Montclair Place is a prominent center in California’s Inland Empire and we have invested in property and programming improvements to provide dining, entertainment, and shopping options there.”
A Main Event typically includes bowling lanes, laser tag, escape rooms, and banquet facilities. Its menu includes snacks, meals, sweets, and a full bar, as well as private party spaces and birthday packages for all ages.
Founded in 1998, Main Event has more than 50 locations nationwide. It was acquired by Dave & Buster’s Entertainment, Inc. last year.
Montclair Place covers 1.2 million square feet next to Interstate 10. Its anchor tenants are Macy’s, JCPenney, and Barnes & Noble.
