Tomas Morales, president of Cal State San Bernardino, has been named the recipient of the Larry Sharp Inland Empire Leadership Award for 2023.
The award, presented by the Inland Empire Economic Partnership, “recognizes individuals who go above and beyond their work in their profession and also display strong leadership in the two-county region of San Bernardino and Riverside,” according to a statement on the university’s website.
The award was formally announced Jan. 11 at the partnership’s annual awards dinner, which Morales was not able to attend.
Sharp was a longtime community leader in the Inland region who served as vice president of university advancement at Cal State San Bernardino and was awarded an honorary doctorate by the school, according to the statement.
