Moreno Valley Looking to Help Homeless Pets

The Moreno Valley Animal Shelter has started a program it hopes will increase adoptions for homeless pets.

The Adoption Ambassador Program is being sponsored in part by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and is being launched with the help of a $2,500 grant from that organization, according to a statement.

Under the program, volunteers and staff work together to find a good, loving home for a homeless dog or cat. The volunteers, known as ambassadors, are trained so they can successfully adopt and care for a homeless animal.

For information about the program call Tammy Brooks at (951) 413-3795. To adopt a pet call the animal shelter at (951) 413-3790 or visit www.moreno-valley.ca.us/
