Moreno Valley park opens

Moreno Valley has opened another park.

A dedication ceremony was held Aug. 29 at Windsong Park, located at 13970 Azure Street, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Windson, the city’s  36th park is near Moreno Elementary School, Mountain View Middle School, and Valley View High School. It includes shaded playgrounds, a walking path, four exercise stations, and picnic shelters.

Those shelters will be available for reservations at the end of this month.

“Windsong Park is a shining example of our commitment to growing Moreno Valley responsibly,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera in the statement. “Windsong is another addition to our collection of parks, and it’s a testament to the pride we take in our city and our dedication to providing safe, welcoming spaces for our residents.”

Cost of the project was not disclosed. It was developed by the city and D.R. Horton, a homebuilding company in Arlington, Texas.
