Moreno Valley is making an extra effort to make sure its residents cooperate with the upcoming U.S. Census.
To encourage everyone to take part in the census, which is conducted every 10 years, the city has set up www.moval.org/census, which includes information in English and Spanish to answer questions about the count, according to a statement on the city’s website.
The census takes place in April, with the first invitations to participate scheduled to be mailed by the U.S. Census Bureau later this month.
The national count helps determine levels of federal funding a community receives for public safety, schools and social services, according to the statement.
