Moreno Valley sponsors program that will help small businesses

Five Inland Empire businesses have been selected for the first class of gBETA Inland Empire, a program designed to help start-up businesses find investment opportunities.

The program is a partnership between Moreno Valley and the city’s Business & Employment Resource Center, according to a statement on the city’s website.

The companies – BluCore Minerals, Engevity, Super Foam Corp, SheetXAI, and Digital Therapeutix – were selected based on their location, growth likelihood, and how able they are to make investments.

Forty five Inland companies applied for the program.

“I’m excited to launch this first cohort and work with founders who are already building real momentum,” said Abdi Sherif, program manager for gBETA Inland Empire, in the statement. “This program not only supports these five companies; it brings opportunity and economic development to the entire Inland Empire community.”

During the free seven-week program, officials from each company are given access to gener8tor’s national network of mentors, customers, corporate partners, and investors, according to the statement.
