Moreno Valley to display local art

Moreno Valley is accepting applications from local artists who would like to have their work displayed through the city’s Art Loan program.

The project which is sponsored by the city’s arts commissions, is meant to enhance city facilities through the display of family-friendly works of art created by Moreno Valley residents, according to a statement on the city’s website. “There is tremendous artistic talent in our City,” Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez said in the statement. “We are proud to display their work at City facilities.”

Accepted works will be shown at the council chamber, city hall and several other facilities.

Artists who live or work in Moreno Valley may apply. Deadline to apply is Dec.13, and works will be displayed from January through April of 2020.

Applications are available on the city’s website, www.moval.org.
