Moreno Valley wins tech award, again

Moreno Valley has received the Excellence in Information Technology Practices Award from the Municipal Information Systems Association of California.

This is the 21st consecutive year Moreno Valley has won the award, which recognizes “municipalities that meet strict information technology standards in the public sector,” according to a statement on the city’s website.

“Moreno Valley’s Technology Services Division has always been at the forefront of bringing innovative services to our community,” Mayor Ulises Cabrerani said in the statement. “To win this award 21 years in a row is a great honor.

Municipal Technology Practice is a nonprofit organization with more than 1,000 members throughout California. It promotes efficient municipal government through better use of technology, according to the statement.
