Parts of the 60 Freeway in Moreno Valley are scheduled to be closed April 8 and April 9, due to the ongoing Moreno Beach Drive bridge improvement project.
The closings were to have happened in March but were extended to allow for more time to complete pre-closure work, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Upcoming closure dates are:
- April 8: All westbound lanes of the 60 freeway at Moreno Beach Drive, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- April 9: All eastbound lanes of the 60 freeway at Moreno Beach Drive , 11 p.m. to 7 a.m
- April 8 and 9: Moreno Beach Drive from Ironwood Avenue to Eucalyptus Avenue 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
All of those dates have been approved by Caltrans and are subject to change. The closures will allow construction crews to install a temporary support system to build the west side of the new bridge above the 60 freeway, according to the statement.
