Moreno Valley has expanded its rental assistance program designed to help families and individuals hurt by COVID-19.
MoVal Rental Rescue will provide rental assistance for up to 12 months of unpaid rent, and three months of future rent if funding remains available, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Help is restricted low-income Moreno Valley residents who can show a loss of income caused by the pandemic.
“We know that there are many individuals and families in our community who are worried about how they’re going to pay the rent,” said Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez in the statement. “We are doing everything we can to relieve those concerns.”
MoValley Rescue is a partnership between the city, the United Way of Inland Valleys and the U.S. Treasury Department. For more information, including how to qualify for the program, visit www.moval.org/rentalrescue or call 2-1-1 and select option five.
