Colton Police Chief Steve Ward has been named the city’s interim city manager.
Ward replaces Stephen C. Compton, who has been placed on administrative leave pending a review of certain personnel actions Compton undertook, according to multiple reports.
The release says nothing else regarding Compton’s dismissal or his possible return to the job. Compton was named interim city manager in April of last year.
