Author Adam Tanner is scheduled to address the Inland Empire World Affairs Council on Tuesday.
Tanner will talk about his new book. “What Stays in Vegas: The World of Personal Data – Lifeblood of Big Business – and the End of Privacy as We Know It” at an 11 a.m. luncheon at the Victoria Club, 2521 Arroyo Drive.
A specialist on privacy issues in the Internet age Tanner is a fellow at Harvard’s Institute of Quantitative Social Science at Harvard and has also been a Nieman Fellow there. He was Balkans bureau chief for Reuters, reporting out of Belgrade, Serbia, and was also Reuters’ San Francisco bureau chief.
