On The Move

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors also has a new chairman: Marion Ashley has been named to that position for 2015.

Ashley, who served as vice chairman last year, replaces Supervisor John Benoit, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.

The board normally has five members, but Supervisor Jeff Stone’s election to the state Senate has left the third district seat vacant. Gov. Jerry Brown is expected to appoint someone to fill out the remainder of Stone’s term, according to the report.
