MSJAC to open STEM building

Mt. San Jacinto College will dedicate a STEM building later this month.

The three-story structure at 1499 N. State St. covers nearly 49,000 square feet and includes classrooms, laboratories and other items needed to teach STEM classes, according to a statement released by the school.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education. It is designed to help students succeed in college professionally.

The new building will feature:

  • 6,544 square feet of lecture halls;
  • 23,199 square feet of laboratory space for biology, anatomy, physics, astronomy, microbiology, and chemistry instruction;
  • Math labs, general study labs, and faculty offices.

The dedication ceremony is scheduled to be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 26 at Building 400. Confirm your attendance by Sept. 25 at apasolini@msjc.edu.
