Construction has been completed on a two-story STEM building at Mt. San Jacinto College’s Menifee campus.
The $38 million structure, which broke ground two years ago, puts the school’s biology, physical science, and math programs in one place, according to C.W. Driver Cos, in Pasadena.
C.W. Driver, a contracting and construction firm, built the 57,400 square-foot science, technology, engineering and mathematics building. It’s the fifth structure completed by the company for the Mt. San Jacinto Community College District.
“The new Mt. San Jacinto College STEM building is an important addition to the Menifee campus,” said Brent Hughes, chief operating officer at C.W. Driver, in the statement. “The integrated design and spacious indoor and outdoor spaces are designed to encourage collaboration and learning, specifically for the college’s growing STEM courses.”
The Menifee campus is at 28237 La Piedra Road, It is one of four Mt. San Jacinto College campuses, along with Banning, Temecula, and San Jacinto.
The college serves more than 25,000 full—and part-time students a year, according to the statement.
