More than 100 Mt. San Jacinto College students nave received an estimated $115,000 in scholarship funds.
One hundred and twenty three scholarships were presented to 111 students at the Mt. San Jacinto College Foundation’s Fall Scholarship Foundation Reception, which was held Oct. 24 on campus, according to a statement.
Among the scholarships given out were the Honors Enrichment Program Scholarship, the Robert Lee & Dorothy Mae Carson Memorial Scholarship, Sun Lakes Charitable Trust Scholarship, Charles Rohr Memorial Scholarship and the Agatha Baxter Scholarship.
The scholarships range from $200 to $1,500.
The school’s foundation provides scholarships and miniature grants to Mt. San Jacinto students and faculty. It raises money from the public and private sector.
Mt. San Jacinto College serves about 27,000 students. Its territory covers 1,700 square miles from the San Gorgonio Pass to Temecula, with campuses in San Jacinto, Menifee, Banning and Temecula, according to the statement.
