Nancy Sinatra will host a fundraiser for the Plaza Theatre in Palm Springs.
The event is scheduled to be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Plaza Theatre, according to a statement on the city’s website.
A screening of Sinatra’s work will be shown followed by a Q&A with the audience. Tickets will go on sale at noon on Nov. 1, and more details about the show will be available soon at www.modernismweek.com.
Sinatra, who has reportedly persuaded several celebrity friends to appear with her, follows Lilly Tomlin, who recently recorded a video asking explaining the importance of restoring and preserving the landmark theatre at 128 S. Palm Canyon Drive.
Palm Springs officials announced this year a campaign to raise money to restore the theater, which was built in 1936. A consultant estimated the project will cost $10 million to $12 million, according to the statement.
