Stater Bros. Markets Inc. has been named one of the Top 10 best places to shop for groceries by a national consumer magazine.
In its July edition, Consumer Reports ranked Stater Bros. the ninth-best grocery store chain in the United States, according to a statement released Wednesday by Stater Bros.
That ranking was based on a survey of approximately 50,000 of the magazine’s subscribers, who were asked their opinions of 62 of the leading supermarkets, super centers and warehouses in the United States.
Stater Bros. received the highest rating of any full-service supermarket chain in Southern California. The company received high ratings for its fresh meat and poultry, low prices, staff friendliness and clean stores, according to the statement.
“This accolade is a result of the hard work put forth daily by every member of the Stater Bros. ‘Family’,” said Pete Van Helden, Stater Bros.’ president and chief executive officer, said in the statement.
