Stater Bros. has announced plans to build two stores, including one in the Inland Empire.
The San Bernardino-based supermarket chain will build a 44,000-square-foot store in Menifee at Newport and Menifee roads, its third location in that city, according to a company statement.
That store is scheduled to open late next year.
Stater Bros. also announced that it will build a store in Covina in Los Angeles County, its seventh in that region. That store will be located in a former Albertsons and is expected to open before the end of this year, according to the statement.
Stater Bros. is the largest private employer in the Inland Empire. It operates 167 supermarkets and employs about 18,000 people, according to the statement.
