Office condos in Corona sell

Voit Real Estate Services recently completed the sale of seven medical and professional condominium office buildings in Corona.

The structures, at the Corona Corporate Centre, sold for $18.6 million to 20 separate buyers, according to a statement posted on the Voit website.

All of the buildings at the project, which is located at 2045-2097 Compton Ave., have been sold. Buyers included medical, dental and cosmetic specialists and other professional users.

The seller was Optimus Building Corp. The buildings, which collectively cover nearly 128,000 square feet, were are currently “shell units” and must undergo major tenant improvements before they can be occupied, according to the statement.

“Corona Corporate Centre is an unfortunate case study of the financial collapse of 2008,” said Kevin Turner, senior vice president with Voit Commercial, in a statement. “The project’s first building sold for $315 per square foot upon commencement of construction, and by the time the project was completed the market had crashed.”
