At least one thing hasn’t been disrupted by COVID-19: Omnitrans will again offer a summer discount to young riders.
Starting June 1 and lasting through Aug. 31, anyone under 18 years old may ride Omintrans for $1 roundtrip, according to a statement on the transit agency’s website.
The Summer Youth Fare includes local buses, sbX, Freeeway Express and OmniGo. Fares can be paid with cash or digitally with Omnitrans mobile fares, which may be accessed on the Transit app or the Token Transit app.
Anyone who wants to use the reduced rate must verify their age with valid identification if a driver asks them to do so.
