On The Move

Gary Geuss, an attorney for the city of Los Angeles, has been named Riverside City Attorney.

Geuss, who has worked with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office for more than 25 years, is scheduled to start work in Riverside April 13, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.

He will be paid $265,000 a year.

Geuss, whose appointment was announced last month, will take over for interim City Attorney Kristi Smith, a longtime Riverside employee. Smith started in January after the city ended its contract with Best, Best & Krieger for part-time legal services, the report stated.
