On The Move

California State University San Bernardino has renamed its College of Business and Public Administration in honor of Jack H. Brown, Stater Bros. Markets’ executive chairman.

The Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration was approved by the California State University Board of Trustees July 19, effective immediately, according to a statement released by the San Bernardino-based supermarket chain.

Last month, Brown donated $10 million to Cal State San Bernardino, the largest private financial gift ever made to the school. That donation will pay for student scholarships, new programs and research and will also help attract and retain faculty.

“I am very honored and proud to have my name associated with the College of Business and Public Administration at [Cal State San Bernardino],” Brown said in the statement. “I consider this personal gift an investment in the Inland Empire’s future success, which will provide many educational opportunities for current and future students at the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration.”
