Three students of the University of Redlands have been named Fulbright scholars.
Mounika Parimi, Amber Stansbury and Stefani Spence all received grants to study and conduct research under the Fulbright Program, according to a statement released by the university last week.
Parimi, who graduated last year, will attend Technische Universitat in Dresden, Germany, where she will work in the Research Department of Regenerative Therapies.
Stansbury will go to Universidad Autonoma De Queretaro Mexico, where she will study language impairment and help identify linguistic markers. Stansbury has also received a grant that she will use in Guatemala to help diagnose and classify children.
Spence will attend Unidad Oaxaca Mexico, where she will research the indigenous Chinantec community of San Pedro Tlatepusco.
The Fulbright Program is sponsored by the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. About 1,800 U.S. students and young professionals in more than 100 academic disciplines are offered Fulbright grants every year.
The University of Redlands has had seven Fulbright scholars during the past two decades, according to the statement.
