Hasan Ikhrata, executive director of the Southern California Association of Governments, has been awarded the Peter Drucker Award for Excellence in Supply Chain & Logistics Management.
Ikhrata will receive the award at the 2017 Southern California Logistics and Supply Chain Summit, scheduled to be held Thursday at the Sheraton Fairplex Conference Center in Pomona, according to a statement.
Experts from throughout Southern California will discuss issues and problems facing the region’s logistics industry. Ikhrata, who has served as the association’s executive director since January 2008, is the third person to receive the Drucker Award.
Drucker developed one of the first executive MBA programs in the United States that was geared for working professionals while he taught at Claremont Graduate University during the 1970s, according to the statement.
