Sandra Vasquez has been named assistant vice president of student affairs at Pitzer College in Claremont.
Vasquez, who is currently associate dean of students and director of judicial affairs at UC Santa Barbara, will begin her new job July 17, according to a statement.
“Dr. Vasquez made a strong impression on our community,” said Brian Carlisle, Pitzer’s vice president for student affairs and chair of the search committee, in the statement. “She will be a great leader in the Office of Student Affairs and an asset for the entire Pitzer Community.”
Before going to UC Santa Barbara, Vasquez held administrative positions at USC, the University of Arkansas and Cal State San Bernardino, according to the statement.
