Steve Reneker has been selected to run Riverside County’s information technology department.
Reneker will be familiar to many of his fellow county employees, having held that job from 1997 to 2003, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.
The 54-year-old Reneker returns to the county from the city of Los Angeles, where he worked as chief technology officer and general manager of the city’s information technology agency.
He replaces Kevin Crawford, who was let go in August.
Reneker, who has also been in charge of IT services for the city of Riverside, will earn approximately $250,000 a year, according to the report.
