Nissen, the city’s public information officer, has been Eastvale’s interim city manager since March, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.
The city council voted 5-0 in favor of her appointment. Nissen will be paid $130,000 a year, the report stated.
Eastvale, in northwest Riverside County, is one of the Inland Empire’s youngest cities, having incorporated in 2010. It has been without a permanent city manager since Carol Jacobs resigned last August.
