Ruthanne Taylor Berger has been named to the Riverside County Planning Commission.
Berger, who ran last year for a seat on the Murrieta City Council, is currently a member of that city’s planning commission, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.
Supervisor Chuck Washington nominated Berger to the five-member commission, which reviews proposed development projects and makes recommendations on land use to the Board of Supervisors.
If approved, Berger will replace John Petty, who resigned last month, reportedly because of disagreements with Washington. Her nomination is expected to go before the board in several weeks, the report stated.
