Moreno Valley Mayor Pro Tem Yxstian Gutierrez recently attended USC’s Sol Price School of Public Policy Executive Education Forum.
Gutierrez, a council member since 2013, attended the two-day event to improve his knowledge of public policy issues and policy direction, according to a city statement.
The forum deals with a variety of topics, including environmental issues, demographics and housing. It also held sessions on decision and risk analysis for public leaders.
Price founded Price Club, the first nationwide, members-only discount warehouse store, in 1976. He also founded FedMart and PriceSmart and is considered an originator of the “warehouse store” retail model.
