Joseph Lin, senior vice president with Voit Real Estate Services Ontario, has been named president and executive chair of the AIR Commercial Real Estate Association for 2016.
Lin is the 48th president of the non-profit association, which promotes knowledge, integrity and efficiency in commercial and industrial real estate and is one of the largest trade associations of its kind, according to a statement.
He replaces Joseph Faulkner, senior vice president of Cresa Los Angeles. Lin previously served as AIR’s president-elect and was responsible for the organization’s long-range planning.
“I believe young brokers are the future of our industry,” Lin said in the statement. “A central goal this year is to embrace them, focus on [the] ethics and fundamentals of our industry and encourage the pursuit of a wide range of transactions.” Glendale-based AIR was founded in 1960. About 1,600 real estate professionals from throughout Southern California are members.
