ONT nearly back to pre-pandemic passenger levels

ONT posts solid November

Ontario International Airport served 600,909 travelers in November, a year-over-year increase of 4.3 percent, according to data released Dec. 18.

The airport has now recorded 45 consecutive months of year-over-year passenger count increases, and it’s on pace to attract more than seven million passengers this year, a record for one year, the Ontario International Airport Authority reported.

Domestic passengers last month totaled 568,556, a 6.2 percent increase, while the number of international fliers fell 20 percent, to 32,353.

During the first 11 months of this year, 6.4 million passengers passed through Ontario International, 10.2 percent more than first 11 months of 2023.

Domestic passengers totaled more than six million, while international travelers totaled more than 400,000, increases of 10.5 percent and 7.2 percent, respectively.

Also in November, Ontario International handled 71,442 tons of freight and cargo, up 4.8 percent year-over-year, the airport authority reported.
